Biography

Jeffrey is a Senior Research Scientist and the Engineering Manager at the lab. His research interests include sensors, machine learning, location technology, and ubiquitous computing to allow computing to fade calmly into the background of everyday life. He previously co-led the Place Lab project. He has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Colorado and MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Washington. When not doing research, Jeffrey is a professional ski instructor, whitewater rafter, swiftwater rescue technician, and amateur woodworker.
